Leaning In

$200.00

Unframed: H35 x W23.2cm (13.8x 9.1”)

Leaves covered one another

Yet the towering tree bowed to earth

Asked me not to fear

The towering trees above me emerged as though I were an ant beneath them. While walking through the Blue Mountains some time ago, their trunks stood almost symmetrical as they stretched upward through layered greens and softened light. Amongst them, one tree leaned gently away from the others.

It stood tall yet bent at an angle, as though bowing softly into the land. In that moment, the tree became a reminder to lean into the unknown rather than resist it — to remain open to wonder, even amidst uncertainty.

There was no fear — only stillness, silence, and an unexpected sense of comfort within their towering presence.

Leaning In speaks to the courageous soul moving through life’s challenges. Like the leaning tree, there is strength in surrendering, in trusting ourselves enough to keep moving toward freedom and the person we are becoming.

  • Essence of Revelation is a collection of landscape paintings unlocking the hidden gems when you choose to slow down and pay attention.

Inspired by walks through Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, the works emerge from moments that may otherwise have gone unnoticed — a trace of pink on a gum tree, a tree leaning gently into the land, the rhythm of repeating trunks, or the subtle beauty hidden within familiar surroundings.

Each painting reflects a personal revelation: that beauty is often found in what we overlook, that softness can exist alongside strength, and that peace is not something we must search for elsewhere. Rather, it is something we can cultivate through presence, curiosity, and a willingness to see the world anew.

At its heart, the collection reconsiders what abundance looks like. Not as something waiting at the next destination or milestone, but as something already present within the everyday moments that surround us.

Weaved throughout the pieces of the colour pink, a colour that challenged my own perception of beauty but found within nature, Essence of Revelation celebrates when you pause, notice, and trust that what you seek may already be here.
